- 1/2 -

Thank you for all the well wishing. I am a bit better today. I couldn't even sit at the computer for more than a minute on Wednesday. I did make it out to Walmart yesterday for bird seed and a whistling kettle to replace the old one which stopped whistling a long time ago. But alas the brand new Walmart whistling kettle doesn't whistle. I washed it out, put some water in it, put it on the fire and let it boil. Nothing. Silence. It looks real cure sitting on the stove, but it's useless to me. How sad.

At least the birds will get fed. I won't make it back to Walmart for a couple of weeks. I will go for a walk today to see how I do and if it goes well I'll be providing you with more verbose and purple prose on Saturday.

I'm definitely hoping that you will feel better soon - - and will be whistling like the kettle and the birds!
I haven't seen a kettle that whistles in a long, long time. Perhaps they don't make them any more. Nothing nowadays is imaginative or inventive. Perhaps you could look for an antique kettle?

Good hearing from you DB, glad you are doing better dear. I know what you mean about the whistling tea kettle, I'm an avid tea drinker and hear my teapot whistling several times daily...you could always take it back to Wal-Mart on your next visit and get a refund and look elsewhere. Just take it easy though until you feel more like your usual self dear, don't overdue.

Glad you are feeling better.

Bummer, that your new tea kettle doesn't whistle! KMart is good in returning items as long as you have your receipt.

Being on the computer for hours...I would need to hear the whistle otherwise I would burn out the kettle! LOL

Hugs, Rose
